Data Integrity

DATA Integrity Features

At Opinion Tester dial focus groups our team has over fifteen years of experience building systems that take into account data integrity.  At Opinion Tester dial focus groups we understand that it doesn’t matter how elegant a system is for collecting and reporting data, if the data is not valid, the system is useless.

To help insure data integrity, Opinion Tester has built a number of other EXTRA features into Opinion Tester dial focus group Dial Manager:

Warm-Up Game

The first key to getting valid data out of a dial group is making sure that all the group members are familiar with their handheld devices.  Opinion Tester Dial Manager includes an optional game which does just that.  The game is activated by the test manager prior to the test and takes about 5 minutes.  By the end of it, all participants should be ready to use their handheld devices.  And, if for some reason a dial focus groups participant is unable to use the device, the game will identify this before the test

Non-Responsive Alerts

Once a dial focus group test is underway, it is important to make sure participants are answering questions and responding to audio/video steps.  That is why Opinion Tester Dial Manager includes non-responsive alerts to warn the test manager when participants are not responding.  For example, when a test manager goes to record the answers to a question, if one or more of the participants has not dialed in an answer, a warning box will pop up identifying the handheld units in question.

Expected Response Exclusion

Finally, when it comes time to generate reports, it is important to make sure participants responded truthfully and accurately.  That is why, during reporting, the Opinion Tester Dial Manager Expected Response Exclusion feature allows the test manager to exclude data from participants who answer incorrectly to questions to which the correct response is already known.  For example, the test manager can record the gender of each participant, and then exclude data from participants who answer a gender question incorrectly.

This feature also allows the exclusion of data from dial focus group participants based on cross referencing responses to questions.  For example, if two similar questions are asked, it allows the exclusion of participants who answered one way to one question and another way to another question.  Up to three questions can be cross referenced to exclude participants.
