Opinion Tester Dial Focus Groups Manager is a combination of

  • Opinion Tester Dial Test Handhelds
  • Opinion Tester Dial Test software

Opinion Tester Dial Focus Groups Testing Manager simplifies collecting second by second perception data from targeted groups of people.

Opinion Tester Dial Focus Group Testing Handhelds:

Opinion Tester Dial focus group Testing Handhelds are handheld devices that can dial test the second by second opinions of each individual of dial focus groups.  Opinion Testing dial testing also allows a group of participants to answer questions and register feedback by simply turning a dial.

Opinion Tester Dial Focus Groups has currently developed its third Opinion Tester Dial testing Handheld version, designated model 1300, which is wired with a single calibrated dial.

Model 1300 dial testing handhelds plug into hubs which then plug into our computers.  Up to 4 model 1300 handhelds can plug into a hub and up to 8 hubs can be connected to our computer for a total of 32 total handsets supported.  Currently Opinion Tester dial focus groups offers 24 seat testing.

Opinion Tester Dial Manager Software:

Opinion Tester Dial Focus Group Manager Software is the application used in conjunction with the Opinion Tester Dial testing Handhelds and provides the following capabilities: hardware configuration, test creation, data collection, reporting.

 Hardware Configuration:

Opinion Tester Dial Testing Manager Software allows the dial focus groups test manager to configure the handhelds and hubs connected to the computer.  It also allows the manager to calibrate and test each of the handhelds prior to the dial test to insure absolute accuracy of data collection.

Test Creation:

The first step to collecting data from dial focus groups with Opinion Tester Dial Testing Manager is to create a dial test.  A dial test consists of one or more steps which can be any of the following:
  •  A Multiple Choice Question.   This can be any question with anywhere from 2 to 11 answers.  The question and answers will be displayed on the screen for dial focus group participants who will answer by selecting the corresponding number on their dial testing handhelds.
  •  A Continuous Scale Question.  This is a question the response to which can be any number on a scale. Any scale with a maximum value up to 100 can be used, for example a question will be displayed on the screen for group participants who will answer by moving the dial on their handhelds to the appropriate place on the scale.
  • An Audio/Video Segment also known as PERCEPTION ANALIZATION of Media:.  This is an audio/video clip which will be played for the group.  Participants will respond to what they see and hear by moving the dial on their handhelds.  Their responses will be captured and recorded on a second-by-second basis.  This information is extremely important to deciphering disconnections and the connections an audience has at any given time.  In addition, the information captured is used to track the 'trends' of perception on a second by second basis. A test can consist of any number of these steps in any order.  For example, you might start a test with several questions, then show an audio/video step, and then follow up with additional questions.
IMPORTANT TEST FEATURES:

Two important features of tests to note:

1.    In the reporting phase, test question responses can be associated with audio/video segment responses.  For example, if one of the test questions concerns education level, the audio/video segment responses can then be broken down by education level.  This is true whether the questions occur before or after the audio/video segment.
2.    Each test run is referred to as a session.  A test can be run any number of times for any number of participants.  The multiple sessions can then be combined together for reporting purposes.  For example, you could run a test for 20 participants on Monday and then again for 10 participants on Wednesday and then again for 30 participants on Friday.  Provided you did not modify the test, all 3 sessions can be combined to generate a single set of reports.
